Job Summary - Business Development Director

The Business Development Director’s (BDD’s) primary objective is to oversee the cross-departmental, holistic efforts to generate revenue in specific areas as prioritized by PureCars.  The BDD is a self-motivated team player that thrives on galvanizing a diverse group of departments to achieve a common goal.  S/he will work closely with the sales, client-facing, marketing, product / engineering, and finance teams to ensure upsell growth and retention of prioritized products/initiatives. S/he will coordinate and manage weekly and monthly pipeline reviews, meetings and training sessions to ensure ongoing improvement and best practices.  S/he will also examine, identify opportunities, and predict revenue and retention attainment by examining individual cancellation and upsell funnels. This is a high profile role that will communicate and set the tone of conversations to our client base and the industry while serving as an escalation point for high value client-facing needs.  

What You’ll Do:

  • Broadly, you will conceptualize and execute increased revenue streams as prioritized by PureCars.  Specifically, this includes but is not limited to:

    • Product SWOT Analysis

    • Market Analysis - TAM, SAM, SOM

    • Competitive analysis - product features, margin profiles, speed and execution, expected performance

    • Sales strategy - marketing materials, talk tracks, pipeline objectives with timelines, coaching and accountability measurement to said pipeline objectives

    • Retention strategy - talk tracks, product training, churn analysis, coaching and accountability measurement to maintain + increase revenue stream

    • Product feedback - tying anticipated cost/revenue analysis to feature / development requests

    • Revenue Generation and Retention:

    • Product Ideation:

    • Leadership:  s/he will foster teamwork and collaboration amidst all teams at PureCars in order to achieve Company Initiatives

  • This is a high visibility role and will include regular progress reports toward Company Initiatives to the Executive Leadership Team

The Skills and Experience You Bring:

  • 7+ years of product marketing / management / selling; advertising agency or marketing technology environment preferred
  • 5+ years experience with digital marketing and/or automotive marketing   

Ability to successfully craft and present a persuasive story based on digital advertising data

  • Ability to properly tailor communication regarding data processes to your audience’s expertise level
  • Self-starter with proven success as both a manager and an accomplished individual contributor
  • Automotive marketing and automotive experience is a plus
  • Excellent writing and strong/persuasive presentation skills
  • Deep experience with digital marketing, specifically search, social, programmatic, and email marketing
  • Expertise using Google Suite of tools, such as Google Ads and Google Analytics, to formulate a ROI-centered story and develop client-facing strategies founded in solid data analysis
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
  • Proven ability to lead a team through a constantly changing environment, product enhancements and rapid growth
  • Exceptional at detecting the need for and driving internal change

Salary: $160,000.00
