Job Summary - Director of Advertising Operations

The Director of Advertising Operations is the primary stakeholder of Ad Operations at PureCars.  This person will set the tone and pace for our largest Media Operations team, with primary responsibilities include a continual pursuit a) performance-driven campaigns for our Digital Advertising customer base, and b) of automation and quality assurance of PureCars advertising creative assets, campaign builds and integrations.  Sitting between our Performance Strategy and Product teams, the Director of Advertising Operations should be enthusiastic about furthering the development of PureCars’ Digital Advertising product suite and lead by example.  The Advertising Operations team is responsible for ensuring compliant ad builds, timely execution of client requests, new client launches, and global/OEM/market updates to ad builds.  Ideal candidates will possess technical knowledge and expertise in scalable, performance driven advertising solutions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the ad set templates and assets and continuously work to improve them
    • A/B testing to improve ad assets
    • Compliance considerations of omnichannel assets
    • Using data to power decision making
  • Product and feature ideation
    • Recommendations on improvement of Ad Set Collections, Ad Builds, Templates, Creative Assets (Using PureCars proprietary tools such as AdBuiler, FeedBuilder, Incentives Manager)
    • Following through with the complete product cycle (spec creation, performance analysis, reiteration, etc)
  • Act as primary stakeholder with our technology partner and the Subject Matter Expert on PureCars ad builds
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of our commitment to OEM and Automotive compliance guidelines
  • Provide recurring feedback to external (vendor) and internal (Account Manager, Performance Strategists, Product, and Development teams) partners to further the refinement of our AdBuilder product offering, in pursuit of automation and client-desired features/functionality
  • Manage Ad Operations team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of new client ad builds, existing client rule changes, deployment of global updates as requested by clients/OEMs 
  • Manage Incentives team to ensure accurate and timely deliver of dealer offers across our client base every month throughout our product suite
  • Manage creative team to ensure high standards are met for clients and we can create scalable and effective creative
  • Support and Q/A account builds while collecting and understanding creative and technical specifications to provide solutions at scale
  • Oversee the compliance process to ensure on time trafficking of dynamic creative

 

The Skills and Experience You Bring:

  • Significant experience in advertising automation solutioning, covering creative asset creation / trafficking, dynamic omnichannel campaigns (paid search, performance max, VA'S, programmatic display, online video, OTT, paid social, AIA, etc).
  • Proficiency in systems like Skai, Marin, Fluency, or similar
  • Experience with DCO
  • Deep understanding of Google, Meta, Amazon and DSP's along with URL structures and tagging solutions.
  • Understanding of the Adobe Suite and has demonstrated leveraging this knowledge to further out-of-the-box tools to make their team more efficient.
  • Ability to analyze data from search engines, analytics packages, and internal data and make actionable decisions and recommendations
  • Detail oriented while possessing the ability to manipulate large, multi-faceted data sets in Excel/Sheets through advanced tactics 
  • 5+ years experience in digital media campaign management 
  • Ability to learn and adapt and in a rapidly-changing environment
  • Automotive expertise and ad copywriting experience a plus
